Valet Pin Installation Jig – It has been reported by a few closet co.’s that the vertical panel can be damaged when the 12”L x 35/64 dia. drill bit supplied with the Jig Kit drifts left or right as a result of the Jig vibrating loose during the drilling operation. The result can be a “blow out” in the side of the vertical panel.

It is recommended that the following steps be taken to avoid any potential damage to the vertical panel;

• Install the jig as normal and drill 3 ¾” ONLY using the 35/64” drill bit.
  
• Remove the jig from the panel.
  
• Change to a 3/8” drill bit and continue drilling an additional 3 ¾” – 4”.

The smaller diameter hole will allow the pin to travel the necessary depth and thus function correctly. If you need assistance in obtaining a 3/8” drill bit please contact our office at 877-519-5900.
